Military Spouses of Strength is a national nonprofit organization with a mission

to improve the health and overall wellness within the military community.

Ingrid Herrera-Yee is a proud National Guard spouse and the mother of three beautiful boys. She has her Ph.D. in clinical psychology and was a Clinical Fellow at Harvard University. She has worked in the field of psychology for over a decade as a clinician, researcher, advocate, professor and presenter. Ingrid has spent time volunteering for various organizations, such as Active Heroes, Soldier’s Angels, Bare the Burden, AMFAS, Step One, Autism Speaks, Military Pathways and the Army Family Readiness program. She also serves on several military and civilian boards. Ingrid also spends time mentoring spouses through the eMentor and Joining Forces programs. She was a finalist for Military Spouse of the Year in 2012 and is the 2014 Massachusetts National Guard spouse of the year.

She is the Founder of Military Spouse Behavioral Health Clinicians (MSBHC), a group that benefits military spouse behavioral health clinicians by connecting them with all of the educational, professional and networking resources necessary to accomplish their educational and professional goals through MSBHC.org

Currently, Ingrid is working as a research psychologist assessing for suicide risk among active duty service members and as an undergraduate instructor online for military students. Ingrid also serves as a guest writer on mental health topics for Military Spouse Magazine online.
